The Privacy Policy explains how personal data may be collected, recorded or processed through the operation of our web application and/or mobile application, as well as through enquiries received by Saleslink, via email, telephone, in person or by other means.
WHO WE ARE
Saleslink is a software product developed by Oceanscan Limited which was created for use by Sales manager and sales assistants of different organizations . We have onsite support offices in the Republic of Kenya and offer 24/7 phone/ Email support.
COLLECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Personal information is collected when you use the app to register a cash sale customer
Examples of such information are:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- shop name and location
Other information we collect includes:
- Details of the information you are requesting, i.e. if you request for a custom solution, you will be asked to indicate the kind of solution you need and any message you wish to send to Saleslink.
- Customer information collected when adding customers to the software system.
- Payment transaction details which include transaction reference numbers.
You may also provide personal information to Saleslink when you contact us by email, telephone or letter. When you provide personal and confidential information to Saleslink, that information will be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We collect your personal and confidential data for contractual and legitimate business purposes to enable us to deliver the product or service to you.

HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal and confidential information when you use any of our services. Personal and confidential information that you give to Saleslink will be held on our company servers in a controlled, secure environment where it is protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When personal and confidential information is transmitted from the Saleslink Software to the server, it is protected by use of encryption and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
If you make a payment on our Software system, the supplied phone number is transmitted via SSL technology directly to our payment gateway provider’s database, and after a transaction, only the transaction details will be stored in our servers.
Saleslink has put in place appropriate security safeguards and virus protection to protect the hardware and software which is used in processing all personal and confidential data, in accordance with best industry practice.

Saleslink, in accordance with our legal data protection and privacy obligations, will process personal and confidential data for the duration of the contract and will continue to retain only the personal and confidential data needed to meet any contractual, legitimate business interest and legal obligations for the statue time periods required by law . At the end of these periods, any personal and confidential data not required will be deleted.

Saleslink, to ensure continual compliance with data protection legislation, and in conjunction with customer feedback and company policy, may decide to change or update the terms of our Privacy Policy from time to time.
