Oceanscan Limited is a dynamic IT services company specializing in software development, IT consulting, and system integrations. Our core services include Software Development, ERP integrations, payment system integrations, real-time data streaming solutions, data analytics, and visualization. As we grow, we are seeking a passionate and driven Business Development Specialist to help us expand our client base, forge strategic partnerships, and drive business growth. The Business Development Specialist will play a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with existing and potential clients, developing strategic partnerships, and supporting marketing initiatives. You will work closely with our leadership team to position Oceanscan as a trusted IT solutions partner in Kenya and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target industries, build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and aligning them with Oceanscan’s solutions.
- Establish strategic partnerships with complementary businesses, technology vendors, and institutions.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends in ERP integrations, payment solutions, data analytics, software solutions, and potential software products. Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and expand both service and product offerings.
- Collaborate with external marketing consultants to design campaigns and content that promote Oceanscan’s services.
- Prepare compelling proposals, pitches, and presentations tailored to client needs and respond to RFPs, tenders, and partnership opportunities effectively and professionally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, preferably within the IT services or tech industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and opportunities simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and proactive in identifying and pursuing opportunities.
- An understanding of Software development processes, ERP system integrations, data analytics, and visualization solutions is an added advantage.
- Comfortable working in a small team environment and willing to grow with the company.
